Something few people know is that doves mate for life. They, like many people of today's society, both have a part in making the home and taking care of the young. Both male and female make the nest and then take turns sitting on the eggs. After the eggs hatch, both parents feed and raise their babies. They also preen each other and show affection all year long. Because of this undying affection and devotion, they are often considered a great addition to any wedding ceremony.
A white dove release can be coordinated in countless ways at a wedding. It can be a great addition to the ceremony or a nice finishing touch to conclude the ceremony. Doves can be released in a pair by the bride and groom or a flock can be released. This can be combined in any number of ways to tailor each couples own wants and needs.
We'll work closely with you to help you plan and customize your release in a way that means the most to you. Whatever you choose, it will truly be a beautiful and breathtaking experience that will most definitely be the talk of your wedding for years to come!
Here are some examples of popular dove releases for a wedding:
Package A-The bride and groom release 2 white doves from a
beautiful heart shaped basket symbolizing their new life together
as a couple.
Package B-The bride and groom release a flock of doves from a
large basket symbolizing the start to their new life together. This
could be a flock of 12 doves or any number desired. A great idea
for couples with children is to have as many doves in the basket
as there will be people in the new formed family.
Package C-The bride and groom release 2 white doves from a heart
shaped basket. Shortly afterwards someone else designated by
the couple (the maid of honor, flower girl, best man, ring bearer,
etc) release a flock of 12 doves from a large basket symbolizing
the gathering of the family and friends welcoming and supporting
the new couple.
Package D-The bride and groom release 2 white doves from a heart
shaped basket. Shortly afterwards 2 flocks of doves are released
from 2 separate larger baskets symbolizing the joining of the two
families by the marriage of the couple.
Handheld releases are available for an additional charge. However, we highly recommend releases from baskets as they are easier to control, making it less likely that one person lets go of their dove sooner than the other.
An additional Photo Shoot can be added to any of the above packages! We will bring 6 more snow white doves to your wedding for the bride and groom to pose with for pictures after the ceremony! Wonderful opportunity as you will get to release 3 more pairs of doves, giving your photographer numerous chances to capture that perfect picture! Can be added to any package for an additional $50.
